All Hail Caesar!

Julius Caesar was by far the most influential dictator of the Roman Empire a long time ago. People say he's ruthless, violent, heartless and many more.

Despite the harsh and cruel assumptions made about him, we must not forget that he was a great leader. Conquering nations worldwide, winning wars, saving men, portraying true power.

He fits all the characteristics of a leader should have. But sadly, this powerful image was murdered and back stabbed by his own people and not leaving behind...his stepson.

Why? How can the most powerful public figure at that time be murdered at the hands of his own?

Motive? Jealousy? Hatred? Revenge? Envy?

Or maybe he was killed because of the love for Rome?

By the justification of his killers, yes. It was for the love of Rome and the fear of Caesar getting out of hand.

It was said that Caesar was a man who never gets bored of power. They were afraid that the possibility of Caesar going out hand was high. So they planned an act. Something so sinister that a leader himself would never suspect.

This planned included 60 senators who called themselves Liberators and also included in this scheme was Caesar's stepson Brutus.

The scene where the Liberators and Brutus attempted to kill Caesar

One by one they came and stabbed Caesar and the last stab was delivered by Brutus. What a shame to have lost a great leader such as Julius Caesar but no one knows, it might be the right thing to do at the moment.

  1. Nice entry, thanks for the info :)

Don't you think that he was such a cruel person until it could lead to his death. It was awful to know his violent acts in that era.

    thank you :)
