Pirates of Silicon Valley. An astonishing film about two of the most successful men in the world. Fathers of technology, brilliant minds and also great businessmen. The story of Bill Gates, the pioneer of Microsoft, and Steve Jobs, the creator of Apple Inc. The film tells about the process of these two companies rising towards the top and how they are connected to each other.
I'm actually quite shocked when I watched this movie yesterday during our movie screening. I didn't know that the both of these influential figures had high temper. From my point of view, leaders are supposed to be patient, kind, understanding etc2. Nevertheless, in this movie, both characters portray a role which is contrast to the points which I've stated above, especially the kind and understanding part.
Even though this movie is full of negative vibes, I have to agree with one thing. When dealing with business, ones mind must be quicker than the competitor. For example in this film, the way Bill Gates steals the idea from Steve Jobs and manipulating with it thus making his product a much more valuable asset to be sold to the world. Steve Jobs is an intelligent man but for me, Bill Gates would be the most ultimate tycoon. Using his cunning mind to manipulate a competitor to make profit is just smart.
In conclusion, I've learned that in doing business, one must be very smart, quick to outdo the rival, be cunning and always have the advantages in ones hands. Cheating as we know it is not a good thing to do but in order to survive in this vast world, some considerations must be put to thought.
